Hi, I’m Ivenise, aka Ive, the stylist & owner behind Luxury Locs by Ive. I specialize in loc maintenance, styling, starter locs, and keeping your locs healthy and looking their best.

I love creating a comfortable space where my clients can relax, feel confident, and leave my chair loving their hair. Outside of doing hair, I’m also working toward a career in physical therapy.

I’m grateful for everyone who trusts me with their crown and excited to keep growing with you all.

Loc questions, answered

How do I start locs with you? +

Book a starter set and we'll talk through methods first — two-strand twists. The right one depends on your hair texture, length and how much maintenance you want. Consultations are free.

How often should I get a retwist? +

Every 4–6 weeks is the sweet spot for most clients. Retwisting too often can stress the root and cause thinning, so we'll find a rhythm that keeps you neat without over-manipulating your hair.

Can you fix or combine locs? +

Yes. Loose, unraveling, thinning or oddly-sized locs can usually be repaired or combined. Send a few photos when you book so I can plan time and give you an accurate quote.

Do you color or add length? +

I do not color or add highlights however, loc extensions are available, a consultation so we protect the health of your hair is required.

How do deposits work? +

A $30 deposit reserves your appointment and applies to your service total. Reschedules are welcome with 48 hours' notice and your deposit carries over to the new date.

How should I come in? +

Arrive with clean, fully dried locs unless a wash or detox is part of your booking. Avoid heavy oils or product on retwist day so the roots hold.
