I'm Ivenise — most clients just call me Ive. I started doing locs because I was tired of seeing people leave the salon with neat hair and damaged scalps. Pretty fades fast; healthy lasts.

Based in North Miami Beach, I work with a small, loyal book so every appointment gets real time and attention. Whether you're starting your very first set or you've been growing for a decade, I want you walking out understanding your hair, not just liking it for the weekend.

My philosophy is simple — nurture your locs with love and intention. That means honest advice, gentle technique, and a finish that still looks right two weeks later.

Loc questions, answered

How do I start locs with you? +

Book a starter set and we'll talk through methods first — comb coils, two-strand twists, braid-locs or interlocks. The right one depends on your hair texture, length and how much maintenance you want. Consultations are free.

How often should I get a retwist? +

Every 4–6 weeks is the sweet spot for most clients. Retwisting too often can stress the root and cause thinning, so we'll find a rhythm that keeps you neat without over-manipulating your hair.

Can you fix or combine locs? +

Yes. Loose, unraveling, thinning or oddly-sized locs can usually be repaired or combined. Send a few photos when you book so I can plan time and give you an accurate quote.

Do you color or add length? +

I do color, highlights and loc extensions, but both start with a consultation so we protect the health of your hair. Color especially needs a patch test and a clear plan before we book the full service.

How do deposits work? +

A $25 deposit reserves your appointment and applies to your service total. Reschedules are welcome with 48 hours' notice and your deposit carries over to the new date.

How should I come in? +

Arrive with clean, fully dried locs unless a wash or detox is part of your booking. Avoid heavy oils or product on retwist day so the roots hold.
